As the third-generation family owners and celebrating our 32nd year in business in 2022, Skipton Boat Trips which offers the Afternoon Tea in Skipton looks a little different than before. Now we have a new website, And we are taking online bookings for the first time, but what hasn’t changed is outstanding customer service, a friendly welcome, and hardworking staff to help with your trip from start to finish. So, if you join us for an afternoon out with a few friends or a wedding reception/special event, we hope to see you soon. 


The Skipton boat trip used for the Evening Dining Cruise is the Dalesman, built-in 1994 by current co-owner James’ grandfather Alan Hughes. It is a traditional wide-beam canal boat, which featured last year when she received a new engine- her old one had driven the equivalent of three times around the world. Although the Evening Dining Cruise is two and a half hours long, Dalesman runs trips of different lengths, from two hours up to 7, where she has been chartered to run to Gargrave and back, including a stop for shopping!
